Compliance at USU
The Office of Business and Finance has responsibility for several compliance activities at USU. Specific areas of focus within Compliance Assistance include:
- Management of Sensitive or Confidential Data Stewardship
- Institutional compliance with federal requirements
- Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards
- Identity Theft Prevention Program
- Identifying and Reporting Incidents
- Delivery of training for best practices when handling institutional data
The Card Office supports the institutional mission of USU by ensuring compliance with federal regulations and helping USU's faculty, staff and students be informed about effective practices and standards when handling sensitive data.
Monica Trippler, USU's Compliance Officer, administers compliance activities under the direction of the Vice President for Business and Finance and in accordance to the laws and regulations pertaining to the handling, storage and safeguarding of sensitive information. The Card Office administers:
